Trader Joe's is Good!!!

Because of pressure from customers and consumer groups such as Greenpeace (who protested for a year) Trader Joes' grocery store assures customers that no products contain genetically modified ingredients.

T
his is an example of what we can do when we tell companies how we feel about food, sustainability, water rights, and seed rights, people! The power of the dollar.

Greenpeace has a listing of foods that are "True Foods". Check out this guide http://www.truefoodnow.org/shoppersguide/guide_printable.html
print it out and avoid purchasing foods that have GMOs in them. (Hint: they include Nabisco, Nestle, Quaker, General Mills ).

Interestingly, General Mills also owns Small Planet foods which includes the brands: Cascadian Farms and Muir Glen.

Oh and by the way, you know which companies Phillip Morris owns, right (parent company: Altria Group)?
